Abstract: Room temperature photolysis of [(Cp*RuCO)<inf>2</inf>BH <inf>4</inf>(Bcat)], 3, generated from the reaction of arachno-[(Cp*RuCO) <inf>2</inf>B<inf>2</inf>H<inf>6</inf>], 1, with HBcat (cat = 1,2-O <inf>2</inf>C<inf>6</inf>H<inf>4</inf>), yielded a rare homodinuclear bridged-boryl complex, [(Cp*Ru)<inf>2</inf>(?-H)(?-CO)(?-Bcat)], 4, confirmed by X-ray diffraction.
