Abstract
A simple function generator for generating complex waveforms with adjustable repetition rate, suitable for biomedical applications is described. This generator may be used for simulating the typical output waveforms of electro-medical equipment such as ECG, EEG, etc., and for generating optimal complex waveforms required for neurophysiological and behavioral studies. The instrumentation proposed here is based on the so-called “n-phase astable multivibrator.” Copyright © 1975 by The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc.
