Abstract
Electron paramagnetic resonance studies are performed on the radiation damage fragments in KH2AsO4‐doped KH2PO4. The products include a variety of radicals from the dopant, namely, the radical AsO44‐ occupying a single site in the unit cell, eight sites of AsO32‐ of group b and eight sites AsO32‐ of group c, the only difference between b and c being the 75As hyperfine constants. In addition, a pseudo Vk centre [AsO4 ⃛ PO4]5‐ is also obtained in this system. The structure and stereochemistry of these species are well accounted for by the crystal point group symmetries. The g‐values and 75As coupling constants all follow expectations from simple hybridisation and MO description. Copyright © 1977 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA
