Condensation of organic vapors on Teflon coated mild steel

The organic vapors (33 Nos) condensed on Teflon coated mild steel plates have shown different patterns, viz., dropwise, mixed, non filmwise and filmwise. Five vapors chosen from the first three patterns have shown enhanced thermal performance compared to film condensation on plain surfaces. The mixed and nonfilmwise patterns seem to be better than dropwise probably due to the relatively faster removal of the condensate.
