Abstract
Nitrogen laser bleaching of gamma irradiated NaF crystals has resulted in the formation of a new color center having an absorption band peaking at 700 nm. Using the Mollwo-Ivey relation for F+3 centers in other alkali halides, the new band is ascribed to the F+3 center in NaF. © 1990.
