Abstract
An axially distributed dynamic model of a gas-solid continuous fluidized bed dryer is developed. The steady state form of the model Is compared with the existing models. Through simulation profiles of the moisture content and temperature of the bed are obtained. The transient analysis of the developed model is studied with reference to step changes In the air Inlet temperature superficial air velocity, particle residence time, initial moisture content of the feed and dryer-wall temperature.
