Abstract
A time-dependent nuclear wave packet methodology has been undertaken in three dimensions for total angular momentum (J = 0) to study the scattering resonances (quasibound states) in H+ + CO collisions at low energies using an accurate ab initio potential energy surface of the ground electronic state of the system obtained through multi-reference configuration interaction calculations. The existence of large number of scattering resonances indicates the importance of indirect scattering at low collision energies. © 2007 IACS.
