Abstract
Raman spectra of single‐crystal Cd(BrO3)2 · 2H2O and polycrystalline hydrate, deuterate and partially deuterated samples at 90 and 298 K were investigated in detail. Polycrystalline hydrate, deuterate and partially deuterated samples were examined at 90 and 298 K in the OH and OD internal region by infrared spectroscopy in order to explore the structural environment of water of hydration. Vibrations in the OH stretching region were attributed to (H2O)I and (H2O)II type molecules. Single‐crystal Raman spectra were analysed and most of the normal modes were assigned.
