Lattice dynamics and elastic constants of scandium

The lattice dynamics and the second order elastic constants of scandium are calculated with twelve second order parameters using Keating's approach. The agreement between theory and measurement is satisfactory. The results are compared with those of Wakabayashi et al. who have used the MAS model with seventeen parameters to fit their dispersion data. © 1973.
