Abstract
This paper proposes a non-isolated switched-capacitor-based dc-dc boost converter with a high voltage gain. The proposed topology utilizes two switched capacitors along with an inductor to achieve the desired voltage gain. It features high voltage gain for the low value of duty ratio, which results in reduced voltage stress and conduction loss across the switches. A common ground is used in the proposed converter, which eliminates further dv/dt problems between the load and the input grounds. The steady-state analysis in continuous conduction mode (CCM) and the energy-storing component design equation is presented. Furthermore, the converter's small-signal analysis is carried out to generate the state-space model, which is then utilized to analyze the converter's dynamic behavior and design the controller. The steady-state and the dynamic model of the proposed converter is verified in simulations, and the results of the same are presented.
