Abstract
The pulse-echo method of measuring projections of acoustic attenuation and time of flight is proposed. The tomograms reconstructed from these projections are comparable to transmission tomograms. This technique is used to obtain the tomogram of a liver-like phantom. Extension of this method to in vivo liver scans is in progress.
