Abstract
Maximum power extraction from wide range of wind velocity profiles is possible with single-ended primary inductor converter (SEPIC) employed wind energy conversion systems. Effective feedback control is necessary for fast tracking of maximum power point under turbulent wind conditions. This paper presents small-signal modeling of SEPIC converter using state-space averaging (SSA) technique. Required dynamic small-signal linear model's transfer functions for the feedback controllers' design are derived. Response of the system against fast changing reference inputs is verified through simulation results.
