Abstract
The possibility of and site preference for phosphorus insertion in ZSM-5 zeolite have been ascertained through MNDO cluster calculations. The resultant acidity and possible selectivity in organic transformations have been rationalised in terms of the nature of the eigen functions of the LUMO and HOMO levels of the resultant clusters.
