NOVEL TECHNIQUE OF CONTACT RESISTANCE DATA PROCESSING USING A MICROPROCESSOR.

An automated contact resistance measurement and recording system using a microprocessor has been designed and constructed for evaluating the dry-circuit performance of electrical contacts and switchgear equipment. Although the system as such is not fully controlled by the microprocessor, it indicates a practical approach towards that goal and lends itself as a useful tool in conducting mechanical life tests on low-voltage switchgear devices such as contactors according to standards.
