Abstract
A simple method of designing a PI controller is proposed for integrator/dead-time processes. The performance of the controlled system with the proposed controller settings is compared with that of internal model control (IMC) proposed by CHIEN and FRUEHAUF [1] and with that of settings suggested by TYREUS and LUYBEN [2].
