Abstract
Structural failures due to natural and man-made disasters have assumed significant importance in recent times as societal awareness and apathy get triggered by communication through television and internet So it has become necessary to provide relief measures for disaster mitigation and rehabilitation in the quickest possible ways and hence these have to reach a level where communication, internet and computing can be integrated to provide a platform for online action. The focus of the paper is in this direction and both visual and oral assessments are transformed to meaningful structural inputs and through finite element modeling, an assessment of performance is done to find the change in stiffness and the methodology for rehabilitation.
