Abstract
Spectroscopy plays an important role is determining structure and properties of the atomically precise nanoclusters. Advanced instrumentation plays a key factor to approach the growing quest for structure-property correlation and fundamental understanding of the complex systems. Gas phase properties and spectroscopic methods typically used to overcome challenges to understand such systems will be discussed in this chapter. Detailed background and instrumentation will be discussed taking specific examples to explain the process and the outcome. Trapped ion electron diffraction, ion mobility spectrometry, gas phase absorption and emission spectroscopy etc. are the key processes that will be discussed in this chapter.
