Abstract
We study the use of co-ordinate interleaving technique for reducing the effect of frequency offset in OFDM communication systems. The inter-carrier interference effect (ICI) due to frequency offset is reduced by increasing the carrier power using CI techniques. The performance of OFDM with co-ordinate interleaving is compared with the conventional coding technique for combating the frequency offset. Simulation results show that this interleaving technique enhances system performance without reducing the system rate. ©2007 IEEE.
