Abstract
Experimental studies are carried out on a metal hydride cooling system working with ZrMnFe/MmNi4.5Al0.5 pair. The effects of operating parameters such as heat source, heat sink and refrigeration temperatures, and half-cycle times on the system performance are obtained. The experimental results are compared with an analytical mode proposed earlier by the authors, and a satisfactory agreement is found between the two. © 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd and IIR.
