CRITERIA FOR COMPUTER-AIDED FORM EVALUATION.

This paper deals with the different criteria for form evaluation of engineering surfaces. A new criterian based on the minimum average deviation has been suggested. The geometrical forms, namely straight line, circle, plane, cylinder and sphere, are analysed. Numerical examples are included in this paper to illustrate the different methods.
