EFFECT OF DIFFERENT PARAMETERS OF MOTION IN CARDIAC WALL MOTION ANALYSIS.

The importance of different parameters of motion in cardiac wall motion analysis is discussed. The method described is based on an adaptive motion detection algorithm which computes accurate displacement at any given location on the cardiac wall by processing two frames of echograms at end-systole and at end-diastole. The critical parameters of the algorithm, namely, window sizes, search angle, rotation and expansion/contraction are optimized by processing a set of diagnosed training images.
