Abstract
A torque transducer is employed to record the torque experienced by a rotating shaft. But, when it is installed in a reciprocating compressor drive system, the response is super imposed by the torsional disturbances due to the inherent torsional flexibility of the drive. This practical problem is addressed in this paper and methods of reducing the influence of the undulations on the response are presented.
