Abstract
The Volume of Fluid method (VOF) is a widely used and a highly accurate method for simulation of two phase flows with interface dynamics. The interface between the two fluids present in the domain of interest needs to be defined accurately in order to capture two phase flow physics. Most widely used methods use a piecewise linear definition of interface derived from a prevalent volume fraction field. In the present work a generalized template (enhanced PLIC viz. E-PLIC) based on c0 correction of PLIC interface is proposed that leads to significant improvement in interface definition. The improved performance of the proposed method is demonstrated using standard interface reconstruction tests.
