Abstract
The aim of this paper is to develop a methodology to predict the magnetic flux generated in a magnetic material due to current passing through a coil wound on it. The magnetic field generated at each cell in the absence of magnetic material using Biot-Savart law is calculated and then the induced magnetic field is calculated due to the presence of magnetic material based on the theory developed. The theory developed can be used for any general discretized geometry. The problem is validated using TEAM Workshop Problem 13 for which we have experimental results by assuming magnetic susceptibility constant. © 2009 WASET.ORG.
