Abstract
Very interesting fragmentations due to proximity interactions between the substituents at 2- and 2'-positions are noticed in disubstituted diphenyl ethers (1-12) under electron impact conditions. The fragmentation pathways are established with the help of high-resolution mass spectrometry and linked-scan (B/E and B 2/E ) Spectra. The ion structures are confirmed through the collision acivated decomposition spectra.
