Abstract
A study was conducted to examine the temperature dependence of cyclic stress response and evolving deformation substructure of Alloy D9 between 300 and 923 K. The temperature dependence of fatigue life showed a maximum in the intermediate temperature range around 573K. Reduction of fatigue life beyond 573 K resulted from detrimental effects of dynamic strain ageing and oxidation.
