Abstract
A one-dimensional mathematical model for heat and mass transfer in metal hydride beds of annular cylindrical configuration is presented. The results are obtained in dimensionless form, covering a wide range of alloys and operating conditions. The data are used to obtain the correlations for space-average temperature and concentration in terms of bed properties and operating parameters. The use of these correlations is demonstrated using a LaNi4.7Al0.3 bed as an example. © 1992.
