On the maxima of transient response and frequency response of third-order sampled-data control systems

An endeavour is made to advance an exact analytical procedure for the determination of the general relationship between transient response and frequency response of a third-order sampled-data control system following the same procedure developed by Jury for a second-order system. The nature of the two responses is studied in respect of systems with negative real poles, coincident poles and complex conjugate poles for different locations of the poles in the S plane and for different frequencies of sampling. © 1968 Taylor and Francis Group, LLC.
