Compaction of mixtures of materials

The compaction pressures, porosities and compressive strengths of mixtures of materials of particle size(-1·60 + 1·00mm) are determined. Five pairs of materials are used. The compaction pressure range used is 54 to 540 kg per cm2. Porosity is found to be an additive property. Correlations for the porosities and relative compressive strengths of mixture compact are presented. © 1970.
