Affine relations for vibration problems of isotropic and orthotropic plates

Affine relations connecting the transverse vibrations of isotropic and orthotropic plates are determined for rectangular plates which may be treated by the method of Levy. Using these relations, the exact frequencies of free vibration of orthotropic plates can be readily calculated without much labour from those of the corresponding isotropic plates.
