Environmental friendly energy options for India

Energy is an important component of development and energy availability determines the quality of life, contributing to basic needs such as providing drinking water as well as lighting. Often effective steps are not taken to minimize the environmental damage caused by a variety of pollutions associated with energy generation from fossil fuels. The world should develop renewable and environmentally friendly energy sources, and at the same time should use energy efficient devices and systems for lighting, drinking water production, etc. The oceans are large resources of renewable energy and drinking water. The countries should invest now in developing suitable designs to tap these enormous resources from oceans.
