Abstract
In many applications, heat transport is critical. In cars, for example, heat generated by the prime mover must be segregated for optimal operation. Electronic equipment, too, must reject heat, necessitating the use of a cooling system. A variety of heat transfer mechanisms are required for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The general method in thermal power plants is heat transfer. In addition to this, heat transfer occurs in many manufacturing processes in various forms, such as the cooling of tools or the management of heat to initiate a chemical reaction. There are a number of methods for increasing heat transfer efficiency. The use of liquid jet impingement is one way. Improve thermal performance in liquid jet impingement by using extended surfaces, changing target surface geometry, nozzle design, flow rate, and Reynolds number. The impinging fluid's thermal conductivity can also be enhanced to improve heat transfer efficiency. Various factors in liquid jet impingement that are important for efficient cooling are examined in this chapter.
