Abstract
In certain applications, it may be necessary to predict the mechanical response of a fluid-filled or a gas-filled structure. A primary issue is the coupling between the deformation of the structure and the pressure exerted by the contained fluid on the structure. An attempt has been made to study the electro-mechanical-fluid interaction of a jet pipe electrohydraulic servovalve using the finite element method. Jet pipe electrohydraulic servovalve finds main application in feedback control systems working on jet engines and fighter aircrafts. The jet pipe electrohydraulic servovalve analyzed is used in precise fuel control applications in a gas turbine engine. This paper gives a new approach for servovalve modelling with the hydrostatic fluid elements to achieve steady state operation.
