Toward the Synthesis of N-(glycosyl)asparagine Mimetics

A conceptually novel methodology has been developed for the synthesis of N-(glycosyl)asparagine mimetics by the click reaction of monopropargylated ethyl nitroacetate with several fully acetylated glycosyl azides. Several N-(glycosyl)asparagine mimetics were synthesized based on the concept of isosteric replacement of amide group with a triazole ring.
