Abstract
The solid state synthesis and characterization of three new antimony(V) tellurites, CsSb3Te2O12, RbSb3Te2O12, and TlSb3Te2O12 are described. Their structures contain two-dimensional hexagonal tungsten oxide related (Sb3Te2O12)- anionic layers interleaved with Cs+/Rb+/Tl+ ions. Synthesis, powder X-ray diffraction, and infrared spectroscopic studies of ASb3Te2O12 (A = Cs, Rb, Tl) compounds are reported.
