Stability constants of silver (I) perchlorate complex with macrocyclic ligands in methanol+N-methyl-2-pyrrolidinone mixtures

The stability constants of silver perchlorate complex with 18-crown-6, dibenzo-18-crown-6, in N-methyl-2-pyrrolidinone (NMP), cryptands 21 and 22 in methanol and NMP and of cryptand 222 in various methanol + NMP mixtures have been-determined potentiometrically at 30 °C. The stability constants are found to be higher in methanol than in NMP or in mixtures of methanol + NMP. The cryptate assumption is found to be satisfactory for the evaluation of Gibbs transfer energies of silver ion in methanol + NMP mixtures with cryptand 222.
