Abstract
This chapter summarises the estimation of triglycerides and urea using an electrochemical EISCAP and a mechanical resonant cantilever as sensors. Though both sensors are based on the enzymatic hydrolysis of the bioanalyte, the actual sensing mechanisms vary. These are compared, with an emphasis on the ease of measurement, sensitivity, reliability and the effects of miniaturization of the sensor structures.
