Abstract
Morpholine is a base of moderate strength and readily forms bulky non-spherical morpholinium cation on neutralization with acids. In order to find out the effect of cationic size in the formation of double salts the interaction of morpholinium sulphate, (MH)//2SO//4 with metal sulphates has been tried. The preparation and thermal behaviour of (MH)//2CoSO//4. 6H//2O, (MH)//2SO//4. NiSO//4. 6H//2O, (MH)//2SO//4:FeSO//4. 6H//2O and (MH)//2SO//4. Fe//2(SO//4)//3. 24H//2O is reported.
