Abstract
The dielectric permittivity measurements on binary mixtures of Allyl Alcohol with (i)Pyridine, (ii)1,4-Dioxane (associated - non associated) and (iii)Phenol (associated-associated) have been carried out at single frequency at 9.8 GHz and at 1 kHz. The dielectric data are analysed in terms of the separate relaxation times τ(1) & τ(2), Kirkwood linear correlation factor 'g' and interaction dipole moment Δμ. The results indicate that the presence of double bond in allyl alcohol does not seem to influence appreciably on the complex formation and relaxation mechanisms of the complexes. The hydrogen bonding in these complexes formed is predominantly of polarization interaction effect. © 1995.
