Collimation testing techniques: A review

The collimation-testing techniques grouped under interferometry, shear interferometry, Talbot interferometry and phase conjugate interferometry are presented. The self-referencing techniques provide a two-fold increase in sensitivity. A number of experiments were performed to obtain setting accuracies of these techniques to point out the fact that they offer nearly the same sensitivity.
