Abstract
This paper proposes a novel triple output switched resonant converter with bipolar outputs, two of them positive and one negative. No extra hardware is needed for obtaining the additional third negative output with reference to existing circuits. The topology is scalable to more outputs. The steady state analysis of the converter is done and design considerations are explained using an 'energy balance' approach. The design is adapted for outputs which may have different power ratings with suitable design examples. Control strategy for the converter is described and hardware implementation with an FPGA system is discussed. © 2013 Praise Worthy Prize S.r.l. - All rights reserved.
