Abstract
This paper deals with the axisymmetric deformations in a circular cylinder of finite length made of Piezoelectric, crystalline cadmium selenide belonging to class 6 mm. The displacements and the electric potential are expressed in terms of a single function. Displacements and electric potential prescribed on the lateral surfaces are expanded in Fourier series, and the stresses and the electric potential prescribed on upper and lower surfaces are expanded in series of Bessel functions of the first kind. The existence and uniqueness of the solution of the problem is discussed under certain restrictions on the coefficients that occur in the expansions.
