Abstract
This paper deals with a theoretical analysis of direct contact evaporation of a drop moving in a stagnant column of an immiscible liquid. The non-dimensional parameters governing the motion and heat transfer are identified and a study of the effects of the variation of these parameters is made. The agreement between the predicted results and the available experimental values is reasonably good. © 1984.
