Vane-type suppressor to prevent vortexing during draining from cylindrical tanks

A vane-type simple device offers suppression of vortex during draining from cylindrical containers with circular cross section. The device is very efffective with varying number of vanes. The suppressor is a circular ring made of aluminum and is 91.5 in diameter. The length of vane depends on the number of vanes for complete suppression of vortex. The device is found to be very economic and simple to make for practical applications.
