Pile-up of screw dislocations inside an inclusion of circular cross section

The method of continuously distributed dislocations is used to analyse the behaviour of pile-ups of screw dislocations near the interface inside a circular inclusion, which is placed in an infinite medium. The stress required to extend the shear crack is obtained from the distribution function of a double pile-up. © 1974 Noordhoff International Publishing.
