MASONS FORMULA - A NEW AND SIMPLIFIED APPROACH

Novel and simplified techniques for the evaluation of the gain function of a system with contiguous loops are presented in this paper. The two, conceptually different, but basically equivalent structures presented are the common node input structure and the segmented structure. The algorithms to obtain these structures in a straightforward manner are clearly delineated. Some of the applications are also indicated. The complexity associated with the original graph is reduced to a great extent.
