Abstract
Photoionization cross section and asymmetry parameters for Kr 3s, 3p, and 3d subshells were measured and calculated. Interchannel coupling from inner n=3 shell of Kr modifies the cross section of the weaker channels through mixing of wavefunctions with stronger channels. The quantitative accuracy of the theory interchannel coupling arising from the subshells is important. The experimental and theoretical results were found to be in good agreement with cross section branching ratio as well as β parameters. Experimental results shows that the interchannel coupling phenomenology is also operative for inner atomic shells of Ne and Ar.
