    Photo-production of pion pairs by polarised nucleons
    (01-12-1959)
    Srinivasan, S. K.
    ;
    Venkatesan, K.
    The problems of production of pion pairs by polarised photon beams on polarised nucleons is examined. It is found that the angular distribution of pion pairs is sensitive to the state of polarisation of the incident photon beam. © 1959 Indian Academy of Sciences.

    Dispersion theory is examined on the basis of a reciprocal relationship between the real and imaginary part of the scattering amplitude and it is shown that the knowledge of the absorptive part over the unphysical region leads to a linear integral equation for the dispersive part. © 1960.

    Fluctuation problem in electromagnetic cascades
    (01-06-1961)
    Seinivasan, S. K.
    The fluctuation problem in electromagnetic cascades is examined in the light of the new approach to cascade theory and it is shown that the method originally proposed by Janossy is best suited to deal with it. A method of obtaining explicit expressions for the second moment of the distribution is given and the differential equations obtained by this method turn out to be simpler and amenable to numerical computation. © 1961 Springer-Verlag.

    A note on electron photon showers
    (01-01-1961)

    ;
    Srinivasan, S. K.
    The mean square deviation of the number of electrons obtained recently by Butcher and Messel is compared with the earlier results based on exact methods of stochastic theory and the degree of validity of Monte Carlo methods for such processes is discussed. © 1961.
