CREEP CRACK GROWTH IN DUCTILE MATERIALS.

Many parameters such as stress intensity factor, net section stress, reference stress and J* have been proposed to describe the crack growth in creep. However, large and systematic scatter has been observed in their description of the experimental data. Derivation of a parameter R based on the first principle is described and the discrepancy between the experimental data and the other parameters, specially the J* is discussed.
