Abstract
Thiourea and its N-substituted derivatives accelerate the hydrogen evolution reaction at mercury, indium and indium amalgam electrodes. The differences in the effects observed with mercury and with indium amalgam electrodes can be accounted for in terms of differences in the adsorption of the organic compounds at the metal-solution interfaces. © 1985.
